LOUISVILLE, Ohio--Surprising news out of Louisville today, Coach Tom Siegfried is stepping down after 18 seasons at the helm according to his Twitter post.

'The Program' the last two years has been an amazing sight to see, not taking nothing away from his previous 16 years.

Siegfried leaves a program better than it was and one of the top in the state of Ohio after winning their first ever state title this past basketball season.

There has been an outpouring of support from the Louisville community as well as players and coaches from around the surrounding areas.

Coach Siegfried's reasons for stepping down is to follow his son Beau Siegfried as he will be a freshman at Ashland University this coming fall, he leaves the program in good standings as his underclassmen finished with 34 wins from freshman to junior varsity this past season.
