MASSILLON, Ohio—On a cold day at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, prep players played their last high school games at the 80th Annual Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North-South Classic All-Star games.
In the first game, Team South (Division I-III) came out on top. They led the entire game, as Team North struggled to move the ball. Team South won 24-6.

Team South quarterback Justice Burnam, who recently played in the state title game last December, played well today. He threw two touchdowns before halftime—one to Tipp City senior Jackson Davis and another to Nate Lyman of Kings High School.
These two scores, along with the offensive player of the game award, marked the end of his high school career. Burnam said, "It means a lot. I’ve met many people through football, and it has taught me a lot of lessons."
Many athletes contributed during the game. Coach Sanbury finished his spring football season on a good note. He said, "I have really good players."
Mason Keely of Centerville won the defensive player of the game award for Team South.
Division IV-VII
This game was defensive from the start. It was more competitive and ended with Team North winning 10-6.

Canton Central Catholic and Miami of Ohio commit Jonathan Stangl was a highlight. It was fun to watch him in his last prep game. Stangl earned the offensive player of the game award for Team North.
Stangl said, "It’s an honor to play in this event. It’s the longest-running event in the country. Winning it is beyond words." He spoke after the game about what it meant to play his last high school game.
He had help from Isaiah Switzer of Glenville High School. Switzer helped anchor the offensive line. He also won the Player of the Game award. Switzer said, "I was excited to play my last high school game. I put my heart into it."
The event is organized well. It is led by game site coordinator Tony Carr, who is also a middle school principal in the Massillon district. The game director is Steve Channell.
