DAYTON, OH--Purcell Marian wasted no time to capture their fourth girls basketball state championship, taking down Avon Lake 72-44.
In a much lopsided game from the start the Shoregals were no match for the Dee Alexander led Cavaliers.
"For 32 minutes we go out there and do everything that we've been doing this entire season" said Head Coach Mosley.
The first quarter of action seen the Shoregals unable to score until the 4:35 mark, Izzie Polinko shooting foul.
Reigning Ohio Ms. Basketball Dee Alexander came out in normal fashion helping them make a 7-0 run late in the quarter to end the first quarter 23 -8 with Avon Lake's Izzie Polinko the bright spot.
"I wanted Coach Jamar to be my coach" said Dee Alexander after asking what it meant to win four in a row.

It didn't take Purcell long to keep the scoring up, putting up a running clock with just a few minutes to go in the third quarter leading 63-25.
The Cavaliers reign supreme capturing their fourth state title in a five year span, can you say dynasty as the they will lose five seniors after this run.
For Avon Lake they never really got a foot hold in the game, the intense pressure from Purcell Marian was just something they never seen, "Just a different brand of basketball" said senior Olivia Tobin.
Head Coach praised his team and seniors, "It was a special season for our girls, being able to go on the run that we went on," said Head Coach Paul Appel.
