Ohio Ms. Basketball finalists announced by OPSMA

COLUMBUS, Oh--The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association has announced the finalist for Ohio Ms. Basketball, with the winner being announced March 12.
226 registered members of OPSMA will begin voting with the deadline being Monday, March 10.
Voting is currently underway, below is the eight finalist who will be awarded (click name for X account):
Dee Alexander, Purcell Marian
- Ohio Ms. Basketball in 2022-23 and 2023-24
- McDonald's All American
- Averaged 20.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.6 assist, 2.1 steals
- Southwest District Division III Player of the Year
- University of Cincinnati commit
- Division I All-Ohio and Ms. Basketball finalist in 2024
- Averaged 24.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.3 assist, 3.8 steals
- Villanova University commit
- Averaged 19.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.2 steals, 2.6 blocks, and 2.2 assists
- Finished career with more than 1,650 points and 1,250 rebounds
- Became Streetsboro all-time leading scorer
- University of Illinois commit
- Central District Division II Player of the Year
- Averaged 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 3.9 steals
- Ohio Ms. Basketball nominee in 2023-24
- Averaged 23 points, 5.1 assist, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 steals
- Southwest District Division I Player of the Year
- Nominated for McDonald's All American game
- Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year in Division III
- Averaged 19.0 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assist, 3.0 steals
- Daughter of Chet Mason
- Only a sophomore
- 3x All-Ohioan
- Averaged 18 points and 10.9 rebounds
- Owns several school records, career points (1,617), rebounds (807), wins (79), field goal percentage (61.5)
- Averaged 17 points, 9 rebounds
- Third team All-Ohio as a junior
