COLUMBUS, OH--The Ohio Prep Sports Media Association has announced the finalists for Ohio Mr. Basketball, with the winner being announced Thursday, March 20.
226 registered members of OPSMA will begin voting with the deadline set for Monday, March 17.
Voting is currently underway, below is the six finalists who will be awarded (click name for X account):
Devin Brown (Sr.), Olentangy Orange High School
- Central District Division I & District 11 Player of the Year
- 13.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.4 assist, and 3.0 steals
- Davidson University commit
Aiden Davis (Sr.), Steubenville High School
- East District Player of the Year
- 17.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assist, 1.7 steals
- Nominated for 2025 McDonald's All-American game
- West Liberty University commit
Trey Drexler (Jr.), Brunswick High School
- Greater Cleveland Conference Champion
- 20.7 points, 3.2 assists
- Offers from Akron University and Kent State University
Cameron Elwer (Jr.), Delphos St. John's High School
- Two-time MAC Player of the Year
- 28.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assist, 94.1 free throw percentage
- Delphos St. John all-time leading scorer
- Offers from the University of Toledo and other MAC schools
R.J Greer (Sr.), Kettering Alter High School
- Greater Catholic League Co-Ed Player of the Year
- 18.9 points, 2.8 assists, 2.1 steals
- Transfer from Springboro High School
- North Carolina State University recruit
Marcus Johnson (Jr.), Garfield Heights High School
- 2024 Finalists for Ohio Mr. Basketball
- 29.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.2 steals
- Won third straight Lake Erie League title
- Ohio State commit (Nationally ranked class)
- Father won Ohio Mr. Basketball award (1998)
The OPSMA All-Ohio teams will begin being released on Monday, March 24.
