COLUMBUS, Oh--For the third consecutive time Purcell Marian's Dee Alexander has won the Ohio Ms. Basketball award.

Now in its 38th year, the award was first given by the Associated Press in 1988. It has been voted by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association since 2017.

After gaining 104 first place points, this makes her next to the 'King' Lebron James as the only other person to win the prestigious high school award three times.

In a distant second place Anthony Wayne's Elise Bender accumulated 58 points, followed by Springboro guard Bryne Martin with 57 points.

Other finalists included Streetsboro senior Naomi Benson, Lyndhurst Brush sophomore Tatiana Mason, Strasburg-Franklin senior Riley Thomas, Westerville South junior Ariyana Cradle, and Berlin Hiland senior Joplin Yoder.
