MILLERSBURG, Ohio--In the last game of the first night at Classic in the Country Archbishop Alter beats Berlin Hiland in a low scoring affair 32-28.
Early on in a very low scoring game both teams only managed 25 points in the first half of play, starting in the first quarter resulting in a 10-2 score with Hiland leading, In the second quarter things would flip and Hiland would only score 2 points for the quarter.
Most first half points scored for Hiland were from senior Joplin Yoder, and Maddie Moody would be the high point player with 8 points.
In the second half of play they were executing to find a formula to score the ball.
"I mean We really just kind of emphasized moving the ball getting into our offense also knowing when to slow down and when to speed up," said Moody.

Although it was low scoring in the second half it came down to making shots that counted with 1:02 left in game Maddie Moody would steal and score to go up 27-22, thirty seconds later Joplin Yoder would hit a big three with 0:48 seconds left closing the gap 25-27.
Sarah Brand is then fouled and makes one of two free throws, then a 2-point score by Alter seals the deal for the win.
Archbishop Alter moves on to 11-6 on the season and will face Badin next, Hiland falls to 13-2 and will face Brush on last day of Classic in the Country.
