COLUMBUS, Ohio--After four years at Ohio State former Massillon Tiger wide receiver Jayden Ballard has chosen to enter the transfer portal.

Ballard's playing time with the Buckeyes was not what the former All-Ohioan wide receiver may have expected, over a 4 year career his totals according to Ohio State Athletics website, 177 total receiving yards and one touchdown.

He also played some defense and returned punts and kicks where he was primarily used in an offense that boasted some of the best receivers in the nation in his time there.

With one more year of college eligibility remaining he will take his talents elsewhere hoping to latch on and achieve the career he once had in high school.

Coming out of high school Ballard was a four star prospect landing in the top five receivers in Ohio in 2021.

With the talented 2025 recruiting class coming in, athletes such as 2025 Mr. Ohio finalist Bodpegn Miller out of Ontario High School, Quincy Porter of Bergen Catholic (NJ) and more, the veteran may have made the best decision.
