CANTON, Ohio--Ironton Fighting Tigers walk out of Tom Benson Stadium with some hardware as they roll past Liberty Center 28-17.
Coach Pendleton stepped aside this season and gave the offensive reigns to an ex Wheelersburg coach Tom Kaskey an unselfish maneuver that led them to a state title.
Coach Kaskey spoke about what his impact is running such high octane offense,"Get the ball to those guys, spread it out as much as possible and when you have a game breaker like Shaun Terry it makes things way easier for me, makes things way easier for everybody else," said Kaskey.
The early portion of game was pretty evenly matched as long as Liberty could contain Shaun Terry, that was not happening as Terry would open up the scoring with a 35 yard pass from Braden Schreck at 4:17 in the 1st quarter going up 7-0 PAT by Beckham good.

Liberty would hold him until the 2nd quarter when Schreck found Terry again for a 46 yard pass with 6:57 left in the half, Liberty would answer and score on a 1 yard rush from Waylon Rentz at the 2:31 mark of the second quarter.
Liberty would knock down a 39 yard FG with time expired to close the half trailing 9-14.
All the fireworks would fly coming out of the third quarter as both teams would score, both would fumble and Shaun Terry putting the nail in the coffin as he returned the ball 67 yards for the final score of the night and exiting an OHSAA State Champion.
