Canton, Ohio--This is one for the ages in frigid and snow conditions.

Avon Eagles walked away with the OHSAA Division II State Championship 20-13 over Cincinnati Anderson in what would say was a snow bowl, with an impressive performance by QB Nolan Good.

Avon opened up the first quarter possessing the ball for over 10 minutes as they were chewing up the clock with a massive run game that mustered up 140 yards to Andersons' 24, with the first score coming at 8:16 off a 71 yard run by QB Nolan Good things were going there way.

Anderson in the second would muster up a little momentum, running a tempo style offense that would prove to get things going, they would score after a turnover on downs possession by Avon allowing QB J. Burnum to hit Aiden McClanahan for a 12 yard TD to even the score up 7-7.

It would not take long for Avon to respond, scoring with 2:58 left off the arm of Good this time, linking with Matt Maxey to take lead by 7 heading into the half.

Heading into the third quarter both teams would come up short on extra points after the touchdown as they scored 6 apiece to end the scoring for the game but it would be enough for Avon to walk away with the hardware a first in the history for the school in football.

"I felt like my legs opened everything else up, having them try and stop me on the ground opened our passing game up, I got some of the best receivers in the State of Ohio," said Good.

Good finished the night with a total stat line of 190 yards on the ground, 8 for 15 in the air and 143  yards in the air with a total of 2 TDs.

Anderson took a different approach as they would air it out more with Justice Burnam going 19 for 33 and 156 yards also rushing for 156 yards on 32 touches a very high IQ quarterback.
