DAYTON, OH- In a game that all the excitement of a close game it ended the way all high caliber games should end deciding a winner with just tenths of seconds left. That is the way Laurel got by with a win over Fairland in the OHSAA Div. II State semi-final game at UD Arena.

The game never lacked excitement from lead changes to top players in foul trouble, Laurel from the open position got off to a fast start and putting defensive pressure on fairland who never scored until 4:00 minutes left in the first quarter.

"Its's been a rough year for Laurel basketball, were a young group a lot of people counted us out," said coach Terrina Robinson. If there was having such a player as Saniyah Hall she is the young prodigy most teams desire to have.

Saniyah Hall finished the game with a high 26pts and come on in the mid third quarter and played like she has all season.

Four players from fairland each had 11 pts apiece in a very balanced game, Bree Allen caught fouls late in game that kept her off the floor for a few minutes down the stretch. The game ended on a pair of free throw shots that one was made and one was missed by Bailey Russell with 0.02 left in the game.
