Coker University a Div. II private school in Hartsville, South Carolina and member of the South Atlantic Conference of the NCAA was home to Leavell playing in 29 games for the Cobras with game averages of 20.0 points and 5+ rebs to go along with shooting over 50% from the field, pretty good numbers for the 6'2 guard.
"Still a Cobra for life, love it there and the team and coaches," said Leavell after asking about his decision to enter the portal. Those close to him were a major factor in his decision to make the move, "but talk with my coaches and family they wanted me to pursue the opportunity and see how it goes." Leavell told ohsfbmedia.
Leavell is no stranger to finding the right fit for his skill set making stops at Kent State-Tusc, Arkansas Tech University during his college career known for his quickness, ball-handling and his versatile shooting which should make the school he chooses a very valuable asset.
When asked about a possible destination, "I am not sure yet just trying to get the best opportunity for me." said Leavell. With his experience that should not be a complicated process.
Leavell's Journey
During his college playing career and now entering his last year of eligibility most have a story and memories that will last a lifetime he spoke on his journey, "It's been great I have had a lot of successes and adversity and everyday I'm waking up taking it day by day and working as hard as I can you know." he said.
