Today Austin Knowles made his journey to college official by signing his National Letter of Intent to attend Gannon University on a football scholarship. Gannon is getting a super athletic wide receiver who has the knack of being able to vertically get to the ball, many in the football world knows it as "high pointing" an ability to catch the ball at it's highest point.
Knowles finished his Medina high school senior season with huge numbers receiving 104 for passes for 1,700+ yards, 23 touchdowns adding 1st team All-Ohio and All-Northeast Inland to his season.
When asked about what was the deciding factor into his decision to attend Gannon over schools such as Findlay, Mt St. Joseph University he stated, "They really showed me that they wanted me to be a part of the brotherhood, and everyone told me to go where they really wanted me and I believe in my heart they really do."
Those who have watched him play his time in high school or before know what they are getting in him but to make things clear to Gannon he said, "I know I can bring a lot to the team with my speed, route running and catching, but I know I can learn alot on and off the field." very well put by the college commit.

Many athletes at this point of making it to the next level has someone that influences them along the journey Austin went on to say, "I don't recall anyone not knowing who I was." adding "also that looked at my film."
Austin's hard work has paid off as he will be on the campus of Gannon later this year knowing he made a good decision about his choice expressing, "My visit there was great all around." Gannon did a really good job recruiting the Northeast Ohio area.
