West Holmes Head Football Coach Zach Gardner Resigns

 Gardner: Sandy Valley's All-Time Winningest Head Coach

West Holmes, OH- There will be a change in the West Holmes football program as 7 year Head Coach Zach Gardner resigned his position Jan. 5th according to the West Holmes Athletic Department. Gardner leaves the program posting a 57-25 record in his era.

During those years Gardner rolled into the post-season 5 out of the 7 seasons taking his 2021 team on a deep run to the state semi-finals being defeated by eventual State Champion Chardon Hilltoppers 41-7. Gardner not citing a reason takes a wealth of knowledge and leadership with him being named Ohio Cardinal Conference Coach of the Year on 3 occasions and East District Coach of the Year 5 of those years.

Prior to his arrival to West Holmes Gardner was Head Coach at Sandy Valley High School becoming the winningest coach in the history of the program. Having the opportunity to interview him in the summer I felt his genuine personality and progressive demeanor.
