CLEVELAND, OH- Finalist for the 24th annual Greater Cleveland Sports Awards presented by medical mutual and ancora.net have been announced with the annual event being held at rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com on Tuesday January 23, 2024, Ohio area high school athletes as well as collegiate and professional athletes will be honored.
Male High School Athlete Of The Year Finalist Presented by uhhospitals.org:
  • Marquise Davis-  (Cleveland Heights High School) Football
  • Bo Jackson- (Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School) Football
  • Dorian Jones- (Richmond Heights High School) Basketball        
Female High School Athlete Of The Year Finalist Presented by uhhospitals.org:
  • Gymnastics Team- (Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School)
  • Sophia Sindelar- (Rocky River High School) Soccer 
  • Tessa Knapp- (Bay Village High School) Soccer   
Male Collegiate Athlete Of The Year Finalist Presented by hjacks.com:
  • Lyle Yost- Ohio State University Diving (Shaker Heights High School)
  • Men's Tennis Team- (Case Western Reserve University)
  • Joe Whitman- Kent State University Baseball (Hudson High School)
Female Collegiate Athlete Of The Year Finalist Presented By hjacks.com: 
  • Taylor Mikesell- Ohio State University Basketball (Massillon Jackson High School)
  • Destiny Leo- Cleveland State University Basketball (Eastlake North High School)
  • Annie Roshak- Ashland University Basketball (North Canton Hoover High School)
Additional awards will be voted on will be Professional Athlete of The Year Presented by: jpmorganchase.com, Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Courage Award Presented by: myclevelandclinic.org, Best Moment in Cleveland Sports Presented by: jackentertainment.com, Senior Athlete Award Presented by: medical mutual TBA.

One of the highly coveted honors will be given out to Stark County native Renee Powell for her trailblazing efforts in the game of women's golf in the form of a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by uhm.com.



Each winner will be revealed live during award show led by ESPN's Reporter and Commentator Holly Rowe.


Guests will enjoy Cocktail Hour, Silent Auction, Open Bar and Food Stations/Refreshments during the live awards show with after party courtesy of westfieldinsurance.com.
