PLAIN TWP, OH- The Glenoak Eagles will have a familiar face back in the district as Jerome "Ghost" Cox returns due to a parental move back to Plain Local School District, many may know Cox was one of the featured running backs on last seasons state semi-final football team for Canton South.

Cox will more than likely return to the gridiron for the Eagles considering he is only in his junior year of high school. Another side note is that Cox played for Glenoak his freshman and half sophomore years before making the move to South so things will be all familiar for him.

Last year for Canton South the considerable size back was a key piece to there success going (10-0) in the regular season and finishing (14-1) qualifying for the state semifinals a feat that had never been done before and surely will go down as the best team to date for the Wildcats.

Many in his area know him as "Ghost" who brings with him an impressive resume from that state semi final team last season as a platoon player gaining 1,100+ yards, 17 touchdowns, All-Pac 7 honorable mention, 2nd team All-Inland. On defense he amassed 100+ tackles (15 of them for losses) in only 2 starts for the season.

Considering Cox joins the team he will be with All-Federal league QB1/ATH Adrion "Milk" Burt, this could be a lethal combination coming into the season for a Glenoak program coming off a 7-5 season and making a postseason trip with a first round home win the first in a 9 year span for the Eagles.

For now the good natured kid is going to be walking the halls of Glenoak High School once again a place he knows.
