Pioneers searching for new coach
Elyria, OH- The Elyria Pioneers will be on the hunt for a Head football coach after Brian Fox steps away after one year at the helm citing spending more time with family and his teaching career. According to chroniclet.com athletic director Heather Beck confirmed the news then confirmed by X post (formally known as Twitter) from the school district and Fox called a meeting with returning players to tell them the news of his departure after rumors swirled a few weeks earlier but were denied.
Elyria and @ElyriaAthletics will seek a new head football coach. The Pioneers’ Coach Brian Fox announced he will step down from coaching, citing a desire to focus on family and teaching. Fox will continue teaching @ElyriaHigh. The search for a new coach will begin immediately.

Fox finished the season 1-10 before his arrival at Elyria he spent 5 years at Elyria Catholic posting a 46-10 record while leading the EC Panthers, prior to that Fox spent time at the Collegiate level in various coaching and strength positions also holds a teacher certificate and is currently the physical education teacher at the school which he plans to keep.
