Springfields' Maurice "Moe" Douglass And Glenville's Ted Ginn Sr. Receive Degrees

OHIO- Recently two active Ohio High School head football coaches received honorary degrees, for Maurice "Moe" Douglass (Bachelor of Liberal Studies), it came 37 years after he left the University of Kentucky to be drafted a member of the National Football League's Chicago Bears where he went on to play 11 seasons. Moe Douglass is no stranger to Ohio football a product of Montgomery County's Trotwood Madison as a player, graduate and coach.

Douglas highlights Ohio football or for that fact going deep into the playoffs as a player Douglass played for a state title at Trotwood Madison then returning in a coaching role leading his team to the OHSAA state championship game in 2011. 

In 2014 Douglas became the head coach at Springfield High School having success taking them to the state championship game 3 years in a row ('21,'22,'23) respectively but coming up short to state powerhouse Lakewood St. Ed which OHSFBMedia was in attendance for 2 of those appearances, winning in the classroom is a championship within itself.

Ginn Sr. A Man Of Faith And Football

Ted Ginn Sr. head coach for the 2-time reigning and defending Glenville Tarblooders also received his Doctorate degree in Humane Letters, awarded for significant contributions to society. Ginn Sr. has been very critical in the success over the many years at the helm of the Glenville student/athletes and community. 

Interviewing with Ginn Sr. on multiple occasions he always mentions, "Life Lessons" his devotion to his faith and that football is a tool to raise young boys into men. Dr. Ted Ginn Sr. is what we will now call the 2-time back to back state champion coach.
